Inspiration is the common thread in the boldly poetic palette of Terry Henderson’s paintings. Working in watercolor and pencil primarily, there are as many facets to Terry’s personality as there are in his diverse artwork. He explains, “My desire to paint comes from inspiration and my need to communicate feelings. I paint to relate color and composition with feeling or mood, to share a moment.”

Terry’s subjects and styles are wide indeed. His portraits, florals, southwestern, animals and landscapes range from realistic to whimsical.

Born in California, Terry has made Colorado his home for nearly forty years. He is a self-taught artist, with visual arts training from Regis University as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of Colorado. Limiting himself in both quantity and media from a young age, he did not take his natural talent seriously until the late 1990′s, when he switched his media to watercolor. Since that time he has received awards and honors from several juried art exhibits.

Terry, along with his wife Jennie, is the owner of Boulder Street Gallery.
